The K75-10 Caps are the Russian equivalent, right?
Very close, the K75-10s are paper and polyethylene-terephtalate (commonly called Dacron, polyethylene, sometimes Mylar, although that is technically Biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate) with foil and oil. Very close to the same materials, but there might be differences in paper and oil as well as thicknesses (no telling) as to one of the types that Arizona offers. I would suspect they would share similar general audio qualities, but have no direct experience.FIY, my take on the K75-10 is that it has beautiful "Technicolor" mids, really nice, but a very slight lack of extreme highs when compared to something like a Teflon cap. BTW I really like these when the voicing is appropriate, like a component that might be just a little too bright, or if your speakers only go up to 15K or so.

Just hard to get excited about another $35 cap when you can get very excellent K40Y-9 teflon caps for a couple of bucks.
FIY, as others have stated the Russian K40-Y is a PIO cap, the FT-3 is the best Russian Teflon, the SSG and KSG is the Russian silver and micas (my fave coupler), the K75-10s are hybrid caps with a paper and "plastic" dielectric, with oil and foil, the MBGO caps are are metalized paper and "oil", and the KBG caps are PIO.

It may be kind of interesting to try a couple because they are mylar and paper with oil..What you can do many times is call the company and they will send you a few samples to try or at least sell a few samples pretty cheap..I was able get some free Caddock TF020R resistors and they are quite pricey but I'm sure Arizona capacitor would definitely send a few samples on request.

+1 for Sovcom. But they are PIO not Teflon!
If they are a $35 capacitor, the FT-3 (Russian Teflon) are much cheaper. I can't even find where to buy the Arizona cap.twystd

Jupiter is the U.S. dealer.

for 35 bucks ea, I would be buying the Jensen Copper foil caps. much better than the Russian K40s and and almost all other audiophile coupling caps.
which is why so many different types can make it in the marketplace. Everyone has his own idea of what sounds good. But more than that, I have had 2-3 Jensens fail (go leaky), with nasty results for the rest of the circuit.
I've bought from that seller many many times and the shipping is slow but the caps are great. I put an order in every two weeks. I'm stocking up lol...

Did we get a chance to try the Arizona cap? and how it flared against K40y-9 / Jensen Copper foil?
