I still think this site is more hard core and less commercialized.

AudioKarma and DIYAudio admins do much better job banning trolls, thus, if you look at the forum activity, you'll find much more posts, both in general and in terms of relevance.
IMO, the asylum has much more balanced opinions where contributors add to the discussions and not just rubber stamp the ramblings of the more influential presenters. AK seems to have more sycophants that feel that they need to simply agree to a response with nothing else to add. While this is ok, i think if you agree with something you should also elaborate why. cheers, dak

You are right..This site is better in every way and just the layout and ease of post is so much better.I also much prefer the class of people we get here because it's more like a fraternal brotherhood.

Sorry, couldn't resist.
Sorry Dave, that went over my head. Please expound more on the meaning of that. cheers.
Just being a smartass. Fraternal MEANS brotherly. (Note there are fraternities for us and sororities for them). So the idea of a brotherly brotherhood made me smile.
AK has its moments (I.e. Some of the threads on modifications done to radio shack speakers a few years ago were fun to read), but AA has a better signal to noise ratio.
I mean that here, the topics are varied and interesting, where AK has interesting topics too but there's also a lot of fairly repetitive threads which get a bit boring. I've managed to learn a lot more here than on AK.
Hi Max, by that do you mean more content and less fluff on AK?
...is the fact that AK is very actively "moderated" compared to AA. I believe this causes AK forums to take on the "personality" of the moderators as opposed to the personality of the participants in the forums here.

You are right because many of the individuals that post at AK are reciprocal posters with ours here at AA so the members are definitely good people.
I was speaking more of the actions of the moderators when judging AK,one in particular and even tho I wont get into specifics,I think many understand what we refer to.
