You can usually go to the manufacturer's website and find someone to email about who (if anyone) carries the part you want. Nobody carries everything, and what they DO carry changes all the time.

I guess I am just grousing because I used to be able to get everything at one place not all that long ago. The lady I talked to at Mouser said they have made a lot of changes.
That observation is consistent with my experience! To be fair, the Great Recession stressed many businesses, and trimming the inventory to improve profitability is pretty widespread.
I can remember when I could walk to more than one good electronic parts sources, from Radio Shack to WWII surplus outlets. Now I can't even drive to them. Not sure whether the internet is cause or effect ... :^)
Oh for the days of my youth, when surplus stores lined Canal St. and the real Lafayette Radio was at 100 6th Ave.
