Capacitor polarity? How do you have it wired in?

I can check it again, but polarity was fine before. In the amp and supply that is.
Just had an idea, though. I used a different connecting lead. Maybe I wired that up wrong.
Do smoking caps continue to work or do you need to chuck them?
You need to trash them, of course. Sounds like you've either got too much DC, or there's a lot of AC across the cap.
