I have a very early Klimo Kent (El34) amp (from the 80s). At some point some of the diodes were replaced. The remaining original ones are ITT brand, but beyond that all the numbering is worn off. Can I just replace with with IXYS 12A 1000V type diodes with minimal impact on the circuit operating and tube bias points? I have attended to replacing the remaining electrolytic caps as a preventative measure.
I don't have a schematic and am somewhat of a novice when it comes to theory, though I have plenty of experience working on tube gear with schematics.
Any advice or guidance is much appreciated!

If it were me, I would use a UF4007 for B+ rectification rather than your IXYS 12A 1000V idea. The forward drop of 1.7 or 2.5 volts for the rectifiers has no consequential impact on B+
