Well, I guess no one wants to relate their experiences so I plugged a pair in my amp. Results are pretty good. Maybe a little warmer sounding than the metal film resistor that it replaced. Not bad, not bad at all. cheers, Dak

Hi...I am glad the metal oxide is warmer sounding than the metal film. I am not surprised, either. Perhaps, a carbon film or carbon comp. will even be warmer. Resistor, cap and tube choices are sometimes like the colors on an artist's easel. Mix and match to your satisfaction...
I also find that the wattage rating also affects the sound, especially in SE amps. I found a big difference in dynamics when I used 1 watt resistors versus 1/2 watt in the fb circuit. cheers, Dak
