From the part #, this looks like part of the Technology Transfer from International Rectifier to Vishay which took place maybe 5 to 7 years ago. Vishay bought the entire G3 line. Or most of it, anyway.
My point is that many newer devices with similar characteristics may measure better, especially the critial RdON. G3 devices are pretty much obsolete and were replaced by G6 and G7IGBT stuff.

Yes, the IRFBC20 was originally International Rectifier. I can't comment on newer parts, but if it aint broke, don't mess with it. My go to enhancement MOSFETs are the ZVN0545A and the IRFBC20, which behave very well in combination with tubes.

I'd put the important quantity of MOSFET use as stable gate capacitance. This means cascoding two of what ever you choose. Eli's gate clamp recommendation is not w/o merit either...LOL
