The reverse transfer capacitance (Crss) of the IRFBC20 is low and stable, which makes for GOOD performance as a voltage follower.
FWIW, more than 1 person has found protective Zener diodes from gate to source is highly indicated, when working with MOSFET types that lack built in gate to source protection.

From the part #, this looks like part of the Technology Transfer from International Rectifier to Vishay which took place maybe 5 to 7 years ago. Vishay bought the entire G3 line. Or most of it, anyway.
My point is that many newer devices with similar characteristics may measure better, especially the critial RdON. G3 devices are pretty much obsolete and were replaced by G6 and G7IGBT stuff.
Too much is never enough
Yes, the IRFBC20 was originally International Rectifier. I can't comment on newer parts, but if it aint broke, don't mess with it. My go to enhancement MOSFETs are the ZVN0545A and the IRFBC20, which behave very well in combination with tubes.

I'd put the important quantity of MOSFET use as stable gate capacitance. This means cascoding two of what ever you choose. Eli's gate clamp recommendation is not w/o merit either...LOL
