My input wiring is shielded and the grid to ground resistor is 500k. The output jacks are on the back about 8 inches apart while the input jacks are in the middle of them. I really don't think that would be the issue. thanks for the help, Dak

Are you using shielded cable with at least 90% braid coverage, or braid/foil? In either case, do you have the braid grounded at only one end (preferably tied to the buss of the star ground system as Triode Kingdom suggested)? If not, lift the shield at one end. Also, are both channels oscillating in a similar fashion? Can you describe the oscillation you are hearing? Is it a slow motorboating effect, high frequency screech, etc.? More information would be useful, as would the picture I mentioned before. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes can spot something obvious which we tend to overlook ourselves.
Input cable is mil type with fine braid shield with no foil. I don't know how much shield coverage. I am grounding the shield at the ground to the input jacks. I am using the "Japanese" style grounding. That is, input and outputs are on their own ground and everything is grounded via a star ground at the power trans. I have never had any problems with noise grounding my amps this way. regards, Dak
