DC coupling should be easy and low component count . You can place the G2 supply within the output stage cathode circuit . You can also do away with the cathode bypass cap for the input stage by also placing this within the output stage cathode circuit . Total parts count 6 resistors (deduct one from grid stopper if using a low gm pentode), 2 capacitors , 2 tubes and an output transformer .

I'm no EE either and I can't count :) The output stage cathode circuit may take a bit of wiggling to get the right voltages
