I own a pair of Quicksilver Silver Mono amps. Each amp uses a pair of KT88's. Can someone provide a diagram how to add a switch to triode operation? Thanks

The color coding of the diagram is for Dynaco amps (see link for more info) but you should be able to follow it for your Quicksilvers based on output tube pin designation. Just remember not to switch it while the amps are on.
That is what I need.
This should give you the idea.

I found that I though would answer the OP's question about the switch.

Yes, it's a good schematic except for the diodes. I just wanted to point that out so he would know not to include them. :)

Besides adding more "sand" noise to the output?

At first sight it would appear to be half rectifying the UL feedback - a really bad idea and would produce some interesting distortion.
But considering there would be a DC bias there well above 0.7v through the OPT primary, the diode would be "on" all the time and the audio just passing through.
Still a useless function IMO and I have never seen a UL implementation like that before.
There have been a lot of half-baked schematics and concepts posted to the Net over the last few years. Quite a bit of that has landed right here in this forum. :)

here is one approach using more than just a diode from the joenet.

... with good results, but that doesn't beat true triode mode (screen direct to plate via 1K resistor).
I did omit the regular diode which is useless especially with the zeners.
My 2 cents!
