What UX4 tube sockets do you like? I want something with a good, tight fit on the pins that stays tight or at least allows re-tightening
I'm not really happy with the sockets I have in my 300B SET. They're these:

I already replaced one pair because they became too loose from trying different 300B and the new pair is still loose.

Yamamoto.
I like these.

That appears to be the same socket as the one in my post (one line done). If it is, the other company is offering two for the price of one and the shipping is good too. Anyone know if they are the same?
Don't know, but they are probably NOT the same, no free lunch. Order Woo Teflon UX-4s Vinnie, Percy usually has them in stock.

I am thinking of trying these when I put the 91A in a chassis.
I can't speak to long term use, but short term use the Yamamoto are extremely well made. I'm using 71a's though and the current is much lower. The price is also quite high.
A nice selection of USA made Amphenol sockets here...
The good ones are on epay most of the time; search for: "Amphenol Steatite" or "amphenol socket" or "cinch socket".
The chinese sockets are pretty much garbage. There are nice NOS sockets out there that were made in America. Just look a little.
