Frank Lloyd Wright thought similarly to Mr. Suzuki. He would purposely seek out houses designed by amateurs to get new ideas. The more one sharpens a point the more likely it will break. Also I have found that the more immersed we become in a subject the narrow the field of view. Moe Bias

This quote was imparted to me by some guru during my medical training. I don't recall who or when. Nevertheless, we need experts from time to time, and we try to be expert in whatever discipline draws our attention.
