I am glad that you found an answer, albeit elsewhere.

Frank Lloyd Wright thought similarly to Mr. Suzuki. He would purposely seek out houses designed by amateurs to get new ideas. The more one sharpens a point the more likely it will break. Also I have found that the more immersed we become in a subject the narrow the field of view. Moe Bias

"An expert is someone who knows more and more about less and less, until he knows everything about nothing."
This quote was imparted to me by some guru during my medical training. I don't recall who or when. Nevertheless, we need experts from time to time, and we try to be expert in whatever discipline draws our attention.
Having a detailed discussion or not having the discussion at all?
I agree that this forum is "very nearly dysfunctional".

Really? What are you comparing it to?
So, after the OP got his answer, the thread evolved into a lively discussion on a related subject. So what?

I am sorry the line of discussion on hyper-expensive caps offended you.
The original poster said:
"Does Duelund recommend a polarity? Is a + or- noted on the body of the capacitor?"
I said that there was no polarity, which is 100% correct. He got his answer in the first 3 words in the title in the original reply.
From V-Cap
"Although the V-Caps are not polarized, many have found it best to keep the lead orientation relative to the innermost and outermost foil consistent between left and right channels. Placement of the outer foil for each V-Cap series is listed below. Note that these are general guidelines, and there may be instances where reversing the caps may prove to be preferred in your system"
