B+ around 500V, 2.0 - 2.2K output transformer.
Right now I have 3.3K - 3.9K opts only, so I get only 60 - 70W of output power.

Do you have (or can you point me to) a schematic? I have some OPT's that I've been wanting to implement in a 100+W amp; this sounds just right.
Hi, caffeinator,
Any KT88 based amp will work with KT120 if your output and power transformers are up to the task. My favorite PP amp is so called "88-50", by Ian Heath and G R Woodville; schematic and description published in Wireless World, April, 1957.

i forgot.
the different in KT88 and the KT120 is the Maximum grid leak resistance . for KT120 don't use anything's more than 50k . with the KT88 you can use more than 100K.
LT
did you run them in UL or triode connected ?
i run mine in UL with 3.5k OPTs but my B+ is only 370v.
I run them in UL, and in UL with CFB.
If you use 3.5K opt you will get the same output power as KT55/6550.
same here :)
i run Ul and CFB with fix bias.
yes I did realise the power factor .good to roll some KT88/6550 on this amp .
have you roll them your self ? if you do what you have found between them ?
