But on K Horns, you are using 1/10th to 3/4s of a Watt, 95% of the time, assuming they are modified in the crossover-to-drivers and amp-to-crossover wiring.WHY listen to such a sonic compromise, three stages and TWO cap couples, 95% of the time, when it is only used 5% of the time??
All you need is two Watts and decent internal crossover-to-speaker and amp-to-crossover wiring, believe me!!
What do you use, as wiring, in the chain ?
WE can discuss this privately, so as not to hijack the thread. Rewiring efficient speakers is one of the FIRST things that needs to be done, if one wants to get the most performance from them.

Speakers are highly modified already
Martinelli wood horns, jbl2404 tweeters, modified crossovers, gentle slope, etc.....
Everything wired with kimber
Sounds nice !! OK, could you privately to me, so I don't hijack this thread, describe what amounts and types of Kimber you use,
amp to crossover and
crossover to EACH driver ?
If you use, for example, Kimber TCSS or AGSS "singly" to the tweeter, as many do, thats simply NOT GOOD enough ...at all. Also, the wire connecting to the mids and woofers is critical.
I know of CHEAP and effective alternatives. We re-did Drummerwill's ALTEC / GPA 604 MLTLs two months ago, I gave him the wire, and he loves it, tells me its a whole new ball game for him in audio.
