Dang, wouldn't you know that the smallest value i have is 0.5uf of that one. Maybe I will have to order some smaller values and try them out too. Do they break in fairly quick?

The largest value I have ever seen on eBay is 0.13uF, and those are huge already. Are you sure you have 0.5uF SSGs or could it be 0.05uF (stated as ~50,000pF on the case)? 0.5uF = 500,000pF.
I forgot to add that I also used them (lower pF values) in the RIAA network of a Quicksilver vintage preamp, to very good effect.
The 0.5 is a ksg. My opps.
I've also have never seen them that large a value.

See above reply to Lew. I did find a couple of 0.127uf ssg-3 that I didn't know I had. They sound pretty good. Any difference between the ssg-2 & ssg-3 sonics?
