Moved one of my kit amps from a Hammond box to a wood chassis with Alu top plate.
Should I just wait and see about hum or bolt a signal ground into the top plate?
Safety ground is in the lower right hand corner off a power transformer lug.

So third-wire neutral is connected to the chassis, but signal ground is not? That presents a shock hazard, because signal ground is connected to the negative output of the power supply. If the negative output is floating, it presents the same risk of shock from contact as the positive output (B+).

I think I see it... Is it because of that goofy standby switch arrangement, that cuts the center tap from ground?
