Just wanted to check to see if anyone else is having problems with their cursor bouncing around on this site before I go looking at my computer as the culprit. It is totally running amok; jumping to different places as I am tying, or whole sentences will disappear, or letters will stop showing on the screen as i am typing.
It's driving me crazy and i do not know where to start looking for the problem. I reloaded office 2010 but that didn't do any good.
Any ideas of what might be wrong would be appreciated.

u got malware....
Could be; though I usually am careful about that sort of thing and don't promiscuously surf the net. I will have to check for it.
and kiss all problems goodbye as I have.
Honest amplification is better than excessive 2nd order distortion anytime.
I tried a mac not too long ago, but I have spent too many years with windows to get used to the mac's counter intuitive operating system's idiosyncrasies, Sold mine after a few months of frustration with it.
I know I could run windows on a mac, but that doesn't make sense to me.

". . . counter intuitive operating system idiosyncrasies"
You mean like going to the 'Start' menu to shut down??
=8^)
among others.... : )
MS removed that in Win. 7.
Either download a third party "start" button then scan for viruses, or putz with the mouse to find.....don't get me started.
Windows is still - D umb O perating S ystem!
IIRC, Mac is still based on Unix?
I will agree, windows 8 is hosed, but I am using 7 still and it has treated me fine until this little problem.
Most likely your computer or the mouse. Try another mouse first. Also be sure the connection for the mouse is secure. If the connector is not in all the way it can cause that.
