Parts Connexion currently sells the following caps:
1) Russian Military NOS
FT-3 (0.22uf 600V)
Teflon Film & Aluminum Foil Capacitors
http://www.partsconnexion.com/capacitor_film_russian_ft3.html
and
2) Rike Paper in Oil,
Aluminum Foil Capacitors (0.22 VDC and 0.47uf 600VDC for my other project)
http://www.partsconnexion.com/capacitor_film_rike.html
I am wondering whether:
1) the Russian FT-3 caps could cure the boring sound (irrespective of tubes used) of my Cary SLI-80 amplifier which mostly collects dust) (the current caps are Jensen PIO 0.22 uf 600VDC); and
2) Rike Paper in Oil are good capacitors and I can try their 0.22uf caps with Cary and 0.47uf 600VDC as coupling caps in my Image 34i integrated amp?
All recommendations and opinions will be highly appreciated.

I have had experience with both caps. The Russian cap is good, especially for the money. Compared to the Mundorf SIO and V-cap Teflon in a coupling position in my Supratek linestage they sound kind of bland, but musical in a way. I have not tried them in a speaker xover though.
I have the Rike S 1 uf caps as coupling caps in that preamp, and let me tell
you, I like them much better than the SIO and V-cpas. The presentation is more natural and the effortlessness in which all the details become apparent is very pleasant. The system can be heard at a lesser volume for the same effects.
Read about them in the HumbleHiFi site cap. review.
Also replaced the tweeter caps in my Reference 3a MM DeCapos. More of
the same results as described above. These are 4.7 uf caps.
Ordered them from HIFi Collective in UK fast and cheap mailing by Royal Air Mail got them in 5 days.
Parts connexion did not have them in stock when I tried to order them,.
Thank you. UK is nearer and less problematic for me than Canada.
I think the FT-3s are excellent. They do a tremendous job (same value as you mention) on my modded Dyna MKIIIs. The transparency is incredible and they are beyond rugged. Outer space Russian rocket material for sure.
I have no experience with the other ones.
Radu.
And what tubes are you using and what is their age?
The current output tubes are reissue GL KT-88 (NOS tubes, like TS 6550 or GEC KT-88, give more air but in both cases the amp lacks midrange accuracy as compared to my other amps, PP or SE).
The drivers are Raytheon VT-231, the rects are Sylvania 5U4G and the pre-amp tubes are Amperex 7308 green labels (I don't remember correct designation).
It has sufficient dynamics (but Hans Audio KT88 is much better in this area) and is wide and powerful but not very deep.
