I am going to exchange the Russian PIO caps with the Russian TFT caps for coupling but the only issue I have with them is soldering to the tabs that come with them. Any suggestions on the preparation for soldering. I did try sanding them, slight grinding, and even using flux and they are a real pain to solder to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. For now I am going to leave the Russian PIO's in the RIAA.
The tabs don't unsolder like some of the other caps from Russia. These appear to be pressed or riveted on and I don't want to destroy the caps.
Thanks!

Take a file or a piece of light grit sand paper and give the ends a once over so solder sticks to them with no issues as I did on this one.
I use the 200v version as they are smaller in diameter and will replace any cap in 630v range or below with no sweat.
Honest amplification is better than excessive 2nd order distortion anytime.
You mean just in that particular application for replacement don't you?
No
I mean you should always clean those ends a bit because they have a slight film on the ends many times and that can make the solder not flow to well and stick.

I mean using 200v caps in place of 630 volt caps......
