Lol...

I just snipped the Jensen off where the cap joins the can and soldered the mundorf straight to that so I can have some sounds until later when I get the amps up on the bench.
Audio note copper/mylar going back in there.

The Mundorf is grating my ears a little bit, but it's the only 0.1uf I have to hand, the Jensen warmth is something that I have become endeared to.

Heatsinking with an alligator clip, yes this probably wouldn't have happened.

What does that little 0.1uf cap do?

  My "use a heatsink" was meant as a suggestion, not an order. Didn't mean to sound like a dick. Sorry! I'm getting too old for these sixty hour work weeks.
