Is a transistor running in A/B-1 or A/B-2???
It is consuming current all the time, and have a quite low input resistance (same thing)... Isn't that traits of A2 amps?
Like it is running all the time with grid current... (until they get a j-fet in)
Perhaps it's because the class definitions were developed in the earlier days of vacuum tubes and may not always apply to junction transistor circuitry, which cannot operate without passing base current.
