that outbid me last night...
I kinda thought it was you,
But this was toooooo good af a deal to pass up!
Besides it is an almost local pickup for me.
The question I have for me is what to do with four 1024's?
No problem, I really don't need to be spending more money on reel to reels even though I would have loved to have it. I have over 100 reel to reels and I really need to thin out the herd a bit so I can afford to get some house repairs done. I have Magnecord 1024 and a 1022, 748, 1028 and a 3000. I need to figure out what to do with 8 Sony 777 decks, those things really like to multiply in the dark....
I have 728, 748, 1028, 1048, 4x1024, 1021, 1022, 3000,
BTW do you have any lit for 3000?
But that many R2r's??
I likewise need to do some house cleaning
Waaaaay to msny EMPIRE TT's ans misc. parts.
How about 8 pair of Sansui speakers?
Time to list I suppose
Somewhere I have a Telex brochure that shows the 3000 but doesn't say much about it but does have a picture. I'm down to just 3 Empire tables now, used to have several more. I've got at least 10 wire recorders floating around here also...I've cleared out all the speakers I've had except for the ones I actually use except for a couple pairs of Akai speakers that store together that were made to match their reel to reels and a pair of Sony SS-777 accessory speakers for the TC-777 units...
I have a pair of Scott S-11's (10 in Woof three way) and a pair of Scott S-15's (12 in Woof, three way)
One pair is hooked to the 'speaker' 1 term of a 500C and the other pair to the 'speaker' 2 term
VERY little difference between them
with BOTH switched on 'together' the peformance is VERY impressive!
Clean, Clear, Nice bass, Mid's and high's are full and clean
Crank them up to around six and everything really comes alive!
The 500 has been fully modded and tweaked by jamesaudio
