... that appears to be one heck of a cassette deck. Trouble is, I can't be the only cassette user who never heard of it, which is likely to reduce its sales appeal (relative to, say, a Nakamichi). And given the fact that it's been in storage for quite a while, there's no telling how much service it really needs, which translates to $$$.
So it's altogether possible, even likely, that it will cost you more to make it salable than you'll get in the end. Sorry to be negative. If I didn't already have a Nak I'd be real interested in it. Good luck.

Thanks Dave. You're right. They are pretty obscure. I was looking at the higher end Naks many years ago when I bought it because I got a deal on it. I bought it and never used it much. I've found a TEAC guy out in Chicago over on the Tapeheads forum who was a tech for them for many years and see what he says. Who knows. Maybe you'll see it listed here one day for sale. Thanks and Merry Christmas ,!!!

Sounds like you are describing Sam Palermo. If so, you and your Teac are definitely in very good hands :-)
Sam, exactly. When I get around to it. Seems a shame to have a great cassette deck that could be put back to working order. Even if it's not me, someone else could enjoy it as long as I get back out of it what I put into fixing it.
After 45 years of tinkering with several systems, I just want to settle down and listen to the music.
Oh, wait a minute. That sounds familiar....Never mind.
