I have a Yamaha RX v 595 receiver, one of these home theater type of units.. that does everything but make the coffee, etc. But I am still a cassette head, and would like to find a Yamaha black double cassette deck to go with this amp. Maybe they haven't made cassette decks in a while, but what are some model numbers of the most recent/most advanced ones they did make? Might be a good match.
Thanks
Bob B
Still plays cassettes with apologies to no one

You may want to peruse the Yamaha section of vintage cassette website to find something which matches your receiver.
Just curious, why do you specify a double cassette deck? As a general "rule of thumb", you usually get higher quality at a given price point with a single well deck rather than a double well deck.
Peruse Yamaha's manual website (link below) and see if you can devine the latest decks by cosmetics. I don't think any of the manuals in their archive include copyright dates (unfortunately).
Another place that might (??) be worth perusing is the Yamaha documentation archive at http://www.kallhovde.com/Njord%20Noatun%27s%20Vintage%20Audio%20Resources.html
all the best,

The series represented by the manual below (KX-W392/492/592) would be very late in the game, since the manual is a "real" PDF and not a scanned (paper) document. How's that for forensics? :-)
all the best,
