Please excuse pic - shot with Samsung celly
I had Deltronics due complete tune-up and neighbor who owns a body shop, repaint the shell and back panel an automotive grade paint (finish is called Stainless Steel, with actual stainless painted on). Finish is only one like it on the Planet.
Mike @ Deltronics sent out the rollers to Dougs (?) for rebuild and replace all other rubber with new parts. Performed complete mechanical and electrical tests and alignments. I am very pleased with this work, but I've only spun one tape - Moody Blues "Seventh Sojourn" a real acid test for pitch stability - very impressive sounding through less than optimal playback chain of Denon AVR-3300 and Paradigms all around (my HT rig).pax vobis
Looks like a beaut! Congrats and happy reeling!

Joel
I've never really owned a half decent deck and was always ataken back by good ones in others' rigs. The more I use this the more I'm getting hooked. I see how a primo set-up could rival an excellent TT rig!
next up for todays spin during "bills" B.B.King Live from Cook County Jail

Trust me, a well setup open reel deck can FAR surpass even the best of turntables if you feed the right material to it.
I started with 1 deck myself a year and a half ago. Now I have 6 decks and am a Tape Project subscriber. It's a drug, so I'm glad your moniker is "sober1"! ;)

Joel

Beautiful realization of a theme. Probably as nice a 909 as is out there.
Well done.
