I can't duplicate the problem.You should just click on My Ads, click on the Availability link for the item and then change the pulldown for For Sale and click on Update.
What item are you trying to change?

No, no need for that other place.
I got it corrected, but I'm not sure what was wrong with it. Essentially, it had to be marked as Canceled and then changed back to For Sale.
There must be some sort of bug, but I didn't look at the data before doing the above. Do you recall anything about that item? Had you marked it a Sale Pending and then it expired? It's possible that the batch job then may not have set the availibility right on expiration.
