Another question. Have you ever listened to Maggie MMG's? I would be curious how they would compare with the Paradox 1's. In my mind, MMG's would always be the reference speaker to compare with in the $500 range (especially for someone who likes strings).

The Alpha LS is a joint project between GR research and my company Creative Sound Solutions here is Mississauga ON Canada. The woofers come from CSS and the planar ribbons are the NEO8s from BG. The drawings for construction are underway and there will be pictures, etc. available on websites one of these days.Mr Dodd has carted Danny's pair off to Dallas and Danny fears they may never come back! The production version will be a little narrower and deeper, have all the drivers mounted on the same plane of the front allowing them to be closer together, for an even more cohesive sound. The latest version is much better than the version previewed at the Texas DIY event.
The preliminary kit price will be $1795, though I think you can twist Danny's arm for a $1500 deal. Check the GR Research discussion forum on Harmonic Discord for some pictures.
Danny and I will be at CES next week.
