You should just buy these and pocket the 2K. They will outperform most anything you could buy for 10K (maybe more) and under.

Wow!
They probably do sound amazing. A little too different looking for my tastes.
Looks like something you have in a room full of turn of the century furniture. A nice Victrola spinning 78's?
I have M/L stats (used or discontinued new) on the list. I have seen listings within my budget.
ML Stats won't even be in the same zip code sonically. But good luck with your search.

"ML Stats won't even be in the same zip code sonically."
wow, Ive heard some ML stats systems that amazed just as much as conventional speakers.
Does that mean you're just not into stats?
I'm looking across the board, and not stuck on any particular design technology.
I've never owned stats, but heard my share of them. I have owned maggies though. It's not that I don't care for stats, they have their strengths and weaknesses pretty much like all designs. However, I am now a big fan of OB (open baffle) speakers because of what they bring to the table, including an open, effortless sound that completely eliminates any boxy coloration, much like stats and planars. But with more dynamics and deeper, better defined bass (in the instance of the Super V at least).
