Yes, but I would recommend putting a 9.1 micro-farad capacitor in series with one of the tweeter leads.
One little mistake and you have yourself a cooked tweeter...
The other way to test speakers without crossovers is to apply digital filters to music files and play them back. So, you have a "bass" music file that contains "bass" by virtue of a lowpass filter and a "treble" music file that contains "treble" by virtue of a lowpass filter.
Someone here likely has the expertise to make such files for you if you yourself do not. (You need an audio editor with crossover filter functions in it. There is a free one called Audacity.)
Still need a cap on the tweeter though, to protect from low-frequency noise.
You *can* apply full range signals to woofers but they tend not to sound too good past a certain frequency limit.
