As I said previously I am technically incompetent so if I can buy something inexpensive to place inline that would be great.
I picked up 5 or 6 nht superzero and I have blown 3 or 4 of them
testing stuff(from garage sales). Since I was surplused-retired a
few years back Ilook for lps and interesting audio.

I disagree a little with the other poster. First how is your hearing? Do you hear well? Obviously you like things loud which is fine. What you need to realize is a solid state amplifier will burn a voice coil and blow the speaker if turned up too loud. So if I know what amp you have I can tell you what value of fuse to put inline so it blows and not your speaker. You are going to have to turn things down. You are turning it up too loud if you are blowing speakers. It is easier to blow a speaker with an underpowered amplifier being overdriven to distortion. Overdriven solid state amplifiers (in other words not a tube amp) will roast any voice coil in a speaker regardless of its power rating. In other words you can blow a 100 watt speaker with a fifty watt amp. So there is some starter info....
