The standby light is lit. I turned it off and on a couple of time to be sure.During the calibration a signal is sent to the subwoofer (sub woofer icon is lit on screen) but no sound. It was sending sound a couple of days ago.

Try connecting it to the normal preamp outputs instead of the subwoofer outputs and see if that makes a difference.
Will the receiver send the low frequency signal through any other outputs?
Try sending the subwoofer the full frequency audio signal. If the sub has its own low pass filter, it might not trigger on a low pass signal from your receiver. It might need the full frequency signal to turn on. Use some Y-adapters and feed your sub the same audio signal you feed your main speakers. Just a thought!
