I have purchased North Creek Crossovers and Sound Anchor Stands for my B&W Matrix 801 Series II speakers. In preparing to install the new components, I can find no information on the instructions about whether and how to remove the casters from the bottoms of the speakers. I tugged on them pretty hard and they did not seem to want to come out. I'd like to remove them without breaking anything.
Have any of you removed these casters and can advise me how best to do so?
Many thanks,
George Roland

In case this is of interest to anyone in the future, I spoke with the folks at Sound Anchors and found out that there were two kinds of casters used on these speakers. Some were bolted on and have an obvious nut that can be unscrewed. The others, like mine, are pull-off. They were incredibly stuck on, so I tried gentle tugging with a claw hammer. Two came out easily, two pulled out the inserts with the casters. In subsequent conversation with North Creek and Sound Anchors, it turns out I can actually leave the casters in after the crossover mods and the installation of the stands, so I plan on just putting them all back in place when the job's done.
Thanks to responders!
George
That's what I did with mine. I know they are very tight, but you have to be very patient with them otherwise you could destroy the insert nut that you use to screwed the caster's bolt in.

Never seen them but try to see with a flashlight if there are circlips on the shafts. If so, you should be able to spread them with a screw driver.
