I have a small room, about 11.5x11.5 and with a tall ceiling. The speakers straddle a small dresser and sit just in front of a bed. I guess I should just add a picture.
Music is low to normal level classical and speakers are Zaph Audio SR-71. Amps change between a Sherwood S-5000 vintage integrated, Conrad Johnson classic 2SE preamp/VTA ST-70 amp and finally NAD C275BEE with passive.
Those are my setups.
I've been trying to read the REL site. But to be honest its filled with distracting bullsh!t and just plain difficult to get any information from. Once my bad news antenna goes up I'm outta there!
The Rythmik site is straight forward and I would prefer to deal with them.
So what would my best choice be???
If I add the picture you would get a good laugh out of how I cobbled together my current setups. Necessity is the mother of invention.

IHO, you're miles ahead in absolute performance be it extension, flat frequency response, linearity, and lower distortion if you go with Rythmik. Best of all, Rythmik can do all of this for a lot less money than REL. REL does make nice furniture.
They replaced two huge DIY SWs, each with four excellent 12" drivers, mounted on the front wall. Here's a composite pic of them.
My F15HPs have black cones and the one-generation-old 530(?)-Watt amps. NEVER had I heard bottom-octave-and-below bass sound so good in my room. I'm thrilled with the sonic results of these.
FWIW, if you don't have a digital bass-tuning system, I recommend these inexpensive Rane three-band parametric eqs...
Each band of the three is independently and infinitely adjustable from 10Hz to 2KHz. It uses 1/4" fone plugs, so you'll need adapters; I bought mine at a local guitar center. My room is almost square at 19X21' and has a very loud room node at 28-30Hz; I use both the single-frequency eq in the SW amp and the Rane eq.

feel free to post more pics of your system- jeffreybehr.
Have you listened to a REL? There may well be some good reasons to select the Rythimik subwoofer over the REL but to eliminate a high quality product like the REL from consideration because you find their website "annoying to read" seems like somewhat of an arbitrary decision based upon factors unrelated to the sonic attributes of the products you are considering. I'm not sure what specifically you found annoying about the website but I was able to find basic specifications and comparisons between their models and most importantly they have a helpful dealer locater where you can listen to the sub and ask the questions that were not adequately addressed on the company website.

A pair of something.
Don't expect a single sub of any design to provide a truly seamless blend with mains having 7" woofers. There was a time those would be called "midrange" drivers. :)
IME, REL is the best in the biz.
I second that-just got a sweet deal on a pair of t9i and they are on,y subs I have got to blend seemlessly with my magnepan 3.7i and I have tried Jl audio among others-in my system Rek is the only choice
Thanks! for sharing- gsb.
Happy Listening!
In your size room the F8- dual 8" sub would work well. Next step would be a 12" and that may be too much. Have you contacted Rythmik to see what they would recommend?

Enrico will let you know your best options. My mains already go deep so the F15 HP was the choice for me. I'd make sure you get the models that have built in parametric EQ unless you can EQ the sub by other means. The EQ and selectable crossover slopes made all the difference in my set up's integration.
Great people, great products, highly recommended.
I will make sure there is an EQ and thanks. Yes the 15 may be too big. But I was looking at the sealed Sgnature 12". Most importantly I do need to fit it to my room and setup properly.
Like I said I really tried using REL's site. These companies should have a suggestion option linked DIRECTLY to the company that bypasses the webmaster. So many of these companies have very poorly designed sites that actual deter potential sales. When you're dropping big bucks "flash" isn't what sells it. You want to see "why is this better than our competitor". Not some model and no stereo in sight.
I recently bought a pair of Rythmik Signature 12" subwoofers and I am very pleased with them. The diaphragms of these Rythmik 12" subwoofers actually measure only 9" in diameter, though. Correspondingly, Thiel labels the woofers in my CS3.7 speakers as 10" woofers but their diaphragms measure only 7.5" in diameter. However, these Rythmik 12" subwoofers sound absolutely awesome and they integrate seamlessly. Moreover, you get a 10% discount when you buy a pair of subwoofers.
I wish those silver cones on those subs wouldn't look so much like
the silver coned junk white van PA speakers I've delt with. I hope
to get over it....if I heard your subs, I think I would pretty quick.
If you don't like silver buy the black aluminum cones and save $50. I wanted silver to match my Thiel's.
So my driver is black.
