No, I haven't heard them, but I like the comments about them that have been posted. The only potential problem is their low impedance (4 ohms). That often means you need a high current amp. On the other hand, one poster is running a Cronus Magnum with good results. Talk with the mfr about the preferences of this speaker to get high voltage or current amps to drive well through the low impedances. Ask if an electrical load/phase diagram is available from the mfr., or ask the mfr to describe the load at various frequencies, if one is not available.

This brand is really gaining momentum. Have not read a bad review to date.
To a large degree they will have similar attributes of all other box speakers. I don't see anything to get too excited about, personally.
I managed to audition them this morning and they are very nice! They sounded really good with a McIntosh solid-state integrated amp with great detail, sweet midrange, non-fatiguing highs and a deep/well-controlled bass despite their 38Hz rating.
No offense but you shouldn't judge just because they are a box design & you've never heard them.
I'm looking to hear from people who have actually heard them or better yet, own them.
All-
do not forget to give a shout-out to your local dealers/retailers.
It's unfortunate you dismiss them so quickly having never heard them. For what it's worth, like digilog5 who also posted to this thread, I have been a panel speaker enthusiast for a long time. I am sensitive to cabinet colorations and horn shout, for example. Mike, I humbly suggest that you check them out regardless of any preconceived notions. They are not exciting in the common audiophile sense, though: they don't jump out at you, which ultimately results in listening fatigue, nor are they flashy looking.

So much music, so little time!

Brian makes a good point. These aren't flashy speakers. Their appearance is nice but conventional. What makes them special, I believe, is the attention paid to the crossover, the cabinet design and the choice of drivers. When I first heard the 630s at RMAF I found myself listening for longer than I typically would in an exhibit room. I did that even when Todd Ryan played music I didn't particularly like. The sound I heard kept me interested and involved, with no inclination to move on and try something else. That's proved to be true also as a 620 owner.
I was so impressed with the Ryan R630 sound that originally I was going to purchase the highly-acclaimed Spendor D7 speakers but now I'm not so sure and may end up with the R630 instead.I'm going to go for a longer, more personal audition of the Ryan R630 this coming weekend.
