The absolute sound reviewed a pair years ago. Rockers!
Follow Ups:
i have been, in the past, a naysayer about C/V speakers in general becakuse the lesser models are mostly boomy/tizzy, efficient (great for receiver owners), usually owned by young and inexperienced (in audio) buyers playing a genre of music not to my liking.
THEN robert e. greene, a math professor at UCLA (at my last info), and a musician reviews THIS speaker, i would LOVE to hear them.

Yeah, back in the day, C/V speakers were, as another poster put it: "Rockers!". Very uneven FR, and they typified the "west coast sound". I never cared for them - except on some R&R. Although, I met Gene Czerwinski at some trade/industry show (maybe AES?) back in the '70s. Nice enough guy. Haven't heard any of the company's more recent offerings. I remember his advertising slogan "Loud is beautiful, if it's clean".
:)
