LM-1 Speaker Kit - Free to build

Hi Everyone,

If you are in need of a very high, 2-way very high quality speaker, why not DIY the LM-1?

The plans are completely free, and parts are widely available. Extensive measurements are online and the developer (me) is super nice and will help you learn about speaker building along the way.

Seriously, I make $0 if you build them, but I do undermine the mega-buck speaker paradigm a little each time. The cheaper high-end music is, the more accessible it becomes, and the more music culture can spread.

So right now I've come across a couple of important sales. PartsConnexion is selling Clarity ESA caps super cheap. For the LM-1 you'll need 2x 8.2uF for instance, and they are running around $10.50 each. Hard not to say yes to that.

Also, Madisound Speaker Store is selling the woofer for $29 each.
