Aren't most show rooms 3 sided with a large open entryway connecting to a large open atrium or hallway? That strikes me as a bit atypical, as I've never lived in a house or apartment quite like that.
Follow Ups:
Well, I was thinking specifically of the rooms at the Denver Tech Center Marriott, where RMAF is held. Most of the rooms on the upper floors have a small entryway and then one room. I live in NYC and that also pretty much describes my apartment.
A few years ago I was at RMAF and heard a pair of speakers I liked very much. I was looking for new speakers at that time. A couple of weeks after I ordered a pair of the speakers. These were speakers with no reviews, no local dealers and no prior history I could reference. All I had to go on was what I heard in that hotel room. That turned out to be a very good decision. Knowing what I know now I'd make the same decision.
I'm just saying in some cases the sound in those hotel rooms isn't always as bad as some make it out to be.
Point taken. There are so many different types of show venues.Best of luck to all of us!
