I've been thinking about buying a pair of Rythmik subwoofers for quite a while. Maybe it's time. I'm looking at two 12-inch subs so they can be placed right next to each of my stereo speakers. I thought I would buy the ones with aluminum cones to match my speakers, which have aluminum diaphragms.

Given the size of the woofers on your mains, they would probably advise you to go with one sealed 15 in. Unless your room is huge one will do the job. The sub really wants to be along the side wall for a good balance between loading the room and a tight bass response. Free standing in the room didn't work in my space.
I think you'll be happy. I have a sealed M&K 12 in sub I could never integrate for music.
If you want to really match your speakers you can use the $$ saved by buying one F15 and Salk Sound can build one for you in a better box with a finish close to your Thiels. Check it out on their site. The silver cones would look good in your already great looking set up.
REL or Sunfire.
