So this is bi-ampable?. If the cap is on the woofer+, I'd say use
the woofer jack only. See if the tweeter works.I think I have 6 or so of the same co-ax's...they have a 1" cloth dome
tweeter. Plan on putting a pair in my trucks door panels :)

Hi Coner, thanks I'll try that test.
The speaker is rated at 4 ohms but if you look at one of yours the tweeter and woofer look like they are wired in parallel with that 1 cap between woofer pos. and tweeter pos. Coner if I attach my 2 speaker wires to the woofer spade lugs does the cap block low frequencies from getting to the tweeter. Does that sound right? Thanks Coner, Parts Express never called me back. Maybe my question is too stupid but their new telephone system will destroy their business. Also, if you see cousin Connie could you say hi for me, I haven't seen Connie Conehead for years....Mark K.
The x-over is built-in, the cap IS the x-over, passing just the
high freqs.
Hi Coner, years ago I made a coax pair of mini monitors. I used an 8 inch coax from Madisound, the Europa. It has a Audex tweeter like the Vifa. The cap was soldered between the 2 spade lugs. The Vifa has 4 spade lugs.
Like a carpenter measuring twice, with me thrice, I just want to cut once so to speak. So thanks for the info. You too Airtime....Mark
