I have a pair of NHT 1259 subwoofers that had sat around for some time. When I retested them before installing in a new system, if found that the T/S parameters don't match those specified.
my qts is 0.66 vs. the spec 0.445
my vas is 5.4 vs. the spec 8.4
my fs is 24 vs. the spec 16.5
I used a DATS2 speaker measuring system.
Is my spider getting stiffer over time and maybe it's time for some new drivers?
Any input appreciated.
Follow Ups:
In order to get the most accurate T/S parameters for the 1259's, I'd give them a few days break in to "wake up" after their long slumber. Then re-test.
There is no beer in food, but there is food in beer.
I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
