Ok, sure. Room size is about 15' x 25'. 8' ceiling. Tile floor (it's a basement); standard cloth furniture. Wood panel walls. That being said, I would like some speakers that could still fill a larger room because some day I might move.
For electronics I currently have a JVC RX-809v (example here: http://www.audioasylum.com/cgi/vt.mpl?f=vintage&m=210172 not mine) which is rated at 120 watts per channel and has a sub-woofer output which I have used. I have a Toshiba DVD player that is an input to the receiver and a brand new Teac single-disk CD player. Also, I suppose the Xfinity box could be considered a sound input too, but I am much more interested in music not home theater. My music collection is mostly CD's and digital music which is all Windows Media Audio lossless. No plans to upgrade electronics at the moment, just the main speakes.
I have been looking around a lot recently for speakers, reading many reviews and listening to a lot of speakers. I really like the sound of both the two models of speakers, and, you are right. They are both very different.

The Klipsh speakers are highly efficient and can sound bright with some SS electronics. If you haven't already I would audition them with your electronics. Also, you say you have tile floors. That can also contribute to bright sound....

Why don't you make a list of the attributes you like best about each of the speakers. Chances are you'll find that one or two of the attributes of one of the speakers jumps out as being more important to you, more of the time.
Maybe that is bass, or higher volume, or a neutral characteristic for voice & acoustic instruments, or sound stage, etc. Pick the speaker that has the characteristic that is going to make you happier in your everyday listening.
