WOW, now doesn't that look custom.....
I wonder if that's the same driver used in the Blade?
The basic Uni-Q design is common across the KEF range, but they don't all use the same driver. From what I've read, the LS50 Uni-Q is unique to that speaker. The Blade and Reference use a different Uni-Q with a slightly smaller outer driver that covers the midrange only, handing over the bass to separate woofers with a crossover at 350 Hz. The LS50's outer driver has to cover the bass. AFAIK, the R and Q series use a Uni-Q that is not at the same performance level as the LS50, Reference, and Blade.
I bet these would be great match with that company that sells the 5 sub woofer set up.
Also I like all the colors available.
I agree, these would be great with 2 or more subwoofers, particularly if the KEFs are high pass filtered. I've heard them driven full range and that little driver is really pushing hard with (IMO) too much excursion. I'll bet they would sound even better with a high pass filter at 60 or 80 Hz.
Makes a sub about $1500 with high and low pass filters.
I'd love to hear one....

It's a great little sub, very accurate and powerful for its size. But for the same money you can buy two Rythmik F12G, which is what I did.
I run my current speakers full range and blend the subs in underneath, but I suspect the LS50 would benefit from the high pass filter. It would be better if the crossover were in the preamp though.

That grey does help to subdue the orange. I only wish that KEF would take things a step further and offer champagne colored drivers.
Oooooh, now that would be nice, Champainya....
