Thanks for sharing. Your bass should be cleaner and tighter so it is your room not playing nice I guess. Glad you are enjoying them.
I am sure 7's would be great in my room but I would like that extra 5dB of bottom end. Mr Shaw says they will work in most any sized room I'm not so sure.

the larger-sized SHL5 should be a good fit, and the increased bass extension should manifest itself well. Even in my room, they are great, definitely better than the Compact 7's even though the C7's seem more suitably-sized. The C7's are a little punchier and precise sounding, maybe better for rock, likely due to the smaller cabinet, but the SHL5's just have a better sense of scale and fullness.

After auditioning extensively in the shop room, I found the compact 7 to be better overall in spite of the big price differences. I dont like too much bass which probably explains it.
