YW Fantja. To answer your question, yes, but not to this model ;) The S5 Mk2 is a sensible, evolutionary upgrade from the S5 & should be quite a bit better, though the S7 will remain the flagship in the S series & the only model which has the diamond-coated Beryllium tweeter from the M Pro.The good news is, if you were waiting for a good 2nd hand or Dealer demo pair of S5's to come up FS, the trickle should now start to become a flood!

So true. I like the composite (graphene) used in drivers. I feel it gives the performance & musical presentation something "special".
All kinds of rumours seem to be doing the rounds on audio forums these days around my alleged system upgrades, including one member of another forum who boldly claimed "Bodhi ordered S7 way back" (I hadn't). Speaking of which, I should thank Rhapsody Audio for posting in that same forum that the S5 Mk2 will use a version of the Diamond-coated BE tweeter used in S7. As after much reflection today, i've decided to go for the S5 Mk2 & bring forward a planned upgrade of my Vitus SIA-025 integrated amp. What amps am I upgrading to you ask? You'll have to wait and see on that one. But I am sure this approach will result in much superior sound overall & give me a lot more flexibility.
