Hello everyone. I am new here and this is my first post.
I have a pair of vintage Pioneer 811A 4 way, 5 speaker, bookshelf speakers. One has a damaged 12" cone type woofer (Pioneer ID# 30-735A), the other a damaged cone type 3" tweeter (Pioneer ID# 77-178f). The cab is an 8 ohm cab with a rating of 120 watts and a 30-22kHz freq response. The crossovers are at 1,300 Hz, 10 kHz, and 10 kHz. I attached the spec sheet for this speaker if that helps.
I put a multimeter on the woofer (removed from cab)and it measured 4.4 ohms. I did the same with the tweeter and it measured 6.2 ohms. Most replacements I've seen are rated at either 4 or 8 ohms.
That said, should I buy an 8 ohm replacement 3" tweeter and a 4 ohm 12" woofer? Is it that simple? Or, am I missing something? Thank you for any advice you can give me.

if I remember right some of the Woofers had Foam Surrounds, while others used Cloth like Surrounds!Try contacting this place first! You may also want to post this on the Vintage asylum as there are much knowledgeable folks over there when it comes to vintage speakers etc!
You can also try oak tree vintage.com. Look under speaker parts!Have done business with him before & was happy! Hope this helps you out,but don't forget to post over @ the vintage asylum as well!

Have you thought about buying new speakers? I think that would be the best solution for your problem.
Good luck,
John Elison
These speakers are close to forty years old. Have you considered something newer?

As above; repeating the quite serious suggestions of; Get New speakers. Those Pioneers are timed out and IMO simply weren't very good,
even when Brand New.
Want vintage/cheapish?
Hunt up a pair of Decent condition Dynaco A25's ~200$ usually.
Their sounds will both surprise and Amaze you.
G'luck
