Has anyone heard or seen some info on Michael Green's Mini Mod speaker. It uses a 6.5" woofer and a 3.5" cone tweeter in a sealed box and features an adjustable rod for tuning the cabinet. Any info?
Follow Ups:
I tuned it and I don't touch it afterwards. Could have been done at the factory. The speaker wasn't that 'tuneful' that I wanted to mess with it further. I see no advantage and a thicker cabinet that was non 'tunable' probably would have sounded even better.
When I was tweaking DIY DYnaco A-25 cabinets for what seemed like 20 years, cabinet fill, venting, porting and varioventing did make for some interesting changes in the sound.
I also like the cone tweeter/mid. In the early days in speakers I always wondered how or to what level the effect of the woofers back pressure had on those tiny cone tweeters?????
...a very bad idea in the hands of the wrong person.
I still have one of his Clamp Racks, but it's been years since I've "clamped" anything with it.
I always had good results with his Room Tunes though, and still use them.

Adjustable rod?
Yeah, I've seen those in the movies:

Nice pic!
I've always wondered why there aren't more speakers with tuneable cabinets. Could a truly obsessive tweaker break the cabinets down after a few years time?
I'm betting more manufacturers don't use the "tunable" cabinet gimmick as it just adds one more variable to speaker design. KISS.
I saw that...

Not only that but if the cabinet is already rigid and dead enough, it does nothing but satisfy ones need to harmlessly tinker.
