Hi,
I have to get rid of 4 towers speakers KEF XQ5 in very good condition as well as a XQ2c central speaker.
The set was part of a home cinema with a yamaha receiver 3 zone.
I now KEF is an excellent brand but I have no idea of the retail value of those speakers.
Any idea?
Follow Ups:
Without the original boxes you could fetch up to half of original msrp on the used market, but at this time of the year you'll likely have to settle for something less than that. IME, used speakers and electronics less than 10 years old fetch approximately 30% - 70% of msrp, depending on a number of factors including condition, brand name, prestige factor, performance factors - and whether or not the original shipping crates and packaging are present.
There are some exceptions to the above rules, of course, but I don't think your KEFs are one of them.
How old are these in years?
Are you the original owner?
Do you have the original packing boxes?
How many model releases do these go back?
I'm guessing three or four....
