Did some more digging and found that the 8T-2 is the home eqivalent of the pro model 2115. It is a full range speaker covering from 40 to 15k Hz. Decided to try them straight from the amp to the speaker without the cross over they had with the LE 20 connected to them.
What an amazing difference! Just like they were covered with a blanket and I pulled it off. Could be the caps are shot, but I am thinking why clutter things up when they sound so good with nothing in the way between the amp and the speakers. I may not need to reinstall the LE20 either.
The flyer says a volume of 1.5 cubic feet is needed, but mine is about 1.3 cubic feet. It is however stuffed full of fiberglass insulation so I suppose that effectively increases the internal volume, so it is probaly close to the recommended size.
The glass is standing vertically in the enclosure. Is that likely to be a problem if I move the speaker to a side panel?

Please tell me that's not your garage. If so you are a lucky man. I could live in a place like that. A tinkers dream......
Well, it is one of the main reasons we bought this place. My wife gets an 800 sf studio for her art work in the room next door and I get a 1400 sf shop almost to myself. All of it is only 10 feet from the back door of our house. I have spent many a happy hour in here.
